Accountability is your ticket to success

Accountability is my jam to your nut-butter baby.

I grew up in an alcoholic household and I can clearly trace back my career path to my upbringing. In the depths of my soul, I have an inner knowing that I am the most powerful person in my life, ultimately controlling my own destiny.

I have a deep love and appreciation of accountability that guides all of my relationships.

As Henry Ford said:

“Whether you think you can, or you think you can’t – you’re right.”

And so are you.

You are likely familiar with the quote:

“Life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it.”

Here is the longer version I discovered reading Marie Forleo’s book, Everything is Figureoutable:

“Attitude is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, than education, money, circumstances, than failures, and success, than what other people think, say, or do. It is more important than appearance, ability, or skill,

It will make or break a business, a home, a friendship, an organization. The remarkable thing is I have a choice every day of what my attitude will be. I cannot change the actions of others. I cannot change the inevitable.

The only thing I can change is attitude.

Life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it.”

Sit with that for a minute, this is one of those seeds you can plant that will bloom in the most magical ways.

Now I want you to ask yourself how you can pivot your attitude even 5%.

Think of an aircraft that drifts slightly off of it’s flight plan; as it covers more and more ground it travels further & further off course.

What may seem like such a minor decision or change to your day, is inevitably what will lead up the greatest change your life will ever see.

For example, you could start blocking off the first 20 minutes of your day to work on a top priority project of yours. Before you do anything else, you sit down for CEO time and work like a boss, moving your project a little further down it’s timeline. Day after day you make the space to send an email, do some research and take action. As the days start to  add up, guess what? You are moving that big task forward and you did it all with a minor tweak to how you began your day.

Accountability is the way to Level-Up your life

Pull in some accountability tools to support your success, like using a Focus Keeper app or putting a note on your door that lists the time you will be available. For more productivity tips click here.

I say this pretty much daily, DON’T start you day at home or at work with diving  into messages and get lost in demands of your time. Messages are other peoples to do list for you.

This is your time to live and work ON PURPOSE.

Onwards & upwards,

Lisa ??
